About The Long Night: Blood Will Be Served
What is Fortier about?
Alfred Zeidan is a vicious, deadly and renowned vampire who shut himself away from the world for hundreds of years to escape the feud between his family and the Bertrams, rival vampire houses since the Salem witch trials. In Blood & Moon, a message from his father calls him home.
The Long Night picks up after Alfred ends that century-old feud by tearing out the heart of someone close to him. Proclaimed the Fortier, the strongest of the vampires, he turns on the Elders: the hidden power that has decided the fall of civilizations since Carthage and Rome. No one has imagined the Underground without them. Alfred intends to.
Blood & Moon began as an exercise M.G. Darwish wrote just for fun: his own take on vampires, and his first story in the first person. He has called Alfred “the only character I wrote that scares the heck out of me.”
